So maybe segunda (2nd class) must be for the muffins.Loryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02816740817614105118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7977563004357944096.post-65069218321052512642013-01-16T05:56:24.622-05:002013-01-16T05:56:24.622-05:00Hi, manang, you have a wonderful site.. Ask ko Lang Kung which of the following (1st class, 3rd class flour, or all purpose flour?) is equivalent to the bread flour that you have in your recipe in making pan de sal. It's because they are the kinds of flour that are available in stores here in the Phil. I'll appreciate so much if you can answer my query.Ate Nenenghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03325247881134217236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7977563004357944096.post-54324670470641878602012-04-12T22:25:11.837-04:002012-04-12T22:25:11.837-04:00Hi Lea, Thanks for the offer, but our bakery has l...Hi Lea, Thanks for the offer, but our bakery has long since been closed...What show is it that you plan to feature our bakery? As for my story, I don't really have anything dramatic, except maybe that I am so far, able to reproduce in my American kitchen the baked goods that I craved the most. Kindly email me with details at manang.kusinera@gmail.comLoryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02816740817614105118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7977563004357944096.post-39754690352718458842012-04-12T05:12:16.214-04:002012-04-12T05:12:16.214-04:00Hi Manang,

I feel na kelangan kong habulin habang malakas pa ang Tatay ko.<br />Mita, I agree mas madali siguro mag-boom ang business kung sa province. My best bakery that sold old-style pandesal baked in a wood-fire oven was in Zambales...they only opened from 4 a.m and stayed open until all the pandesal was sold - 2 hours and it was all gone.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7977563004357944096.post-90177188627855132872006-10-14T20:10:00.000-04:002006-10-14T20:10:00.000-04:00This is a very nice entry, Manang. I know he really really loves baking not for financial gain but for his personal satisfaction. Sa mga nagkakaedad daw kasi, parang laging hinahanap ng katawan na nila ang nakasanayang gawin. I did not intend to...actually, blangko nga utak ko nung nabalitaan ko about LP 14, but the idea sparked when the next morning, I told my son that story about Tatay's bakery. I have been trying to convince my sister to assist my father in pursuing the bakery, pero hindi na sya interested. I plan to someday enable him to bring all his equipment to his hometown and build his business there. Baka mas maging masaya sya especially malalapit sya sa dagat at farm (he had told me countless of stories about fishing and farming).Loryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02816740817614105118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7977563004357944096.post-88503605876328527032006-10-02T20:30:00.000-04:002006-10-02T20:30:00.000-04:00what a lovely, lovely post! ok, so you've set the...what a lovely, lovely post! ok, so you've set the bar so high, how can we top that? (p.s. my dad still owns a small bakery in the suburbs of metro manila. suprisingly, it's been competing very nicely with neighbors such as Julie's bakery (two of them) and even bigger ones such as Red Ribbon and Goldilocks (a short tricycle drive away). part of the reason is because they only use basic ingredients (no preservatives) and they only make small quantities. instead of printed plastic bags, they still use the brown paper ones. and pandesal has remained P1.00 per piece! that pan de regla you talked about -- it's my favorite but we call it belyas!)purplegirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09577882395786818870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7977563004357944096.post-14185705460597136132006-10-02T07:53:00.000-04:002006-10-02T07:53:00.000-04:00thanks, stef! it took me half the day to complete ...thanks, stef! it took me half the day to complete that post and edit it, hoping to make it to the deadline kasi nalaman ko lang the previous night, through your post, actually, na meron na palang Sept theme.Loryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02816740817614105118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7977563004357944096.post-58018727266153400492006-09-30T20:46:00.000-04:002006-09-30T20:46:00.000-04:00wow, manang, what a post!!! this triggered so man...wow, manang, what a post!!! this triggered so many of my own memories. kakaiyak! esp. your story about your parents and the bakery. they sound like wonderful, hard-working folks. you're blessed to have such great parents. salamat for sharing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
